Chandler's C and K are putting together a recipe book. So, here is my entry! These cookies are delicious. And you can't stop at just one! Yum!
Well with it being school holidays, and having Jonathan at home on holidays we decided to go to Seaworld on Monday. And so did everyone else. Boy was it busy. We haven't been to Seaworld for years. And I must say, I am really glad we had a half price voucher. Because it really wasn't as good as what I remembered. They boys had a fantastic time of course. But I was a bit disappointed by the whole experience.
They are doing a lot of work upgrading so some of the attractions are not open. And some that are, are not really worth walking to see. We went to the Polar Bear Shores twice, and both times there were no polar bears to be seen. They have 5, so am unsure why at least one of them isn't out on show. The Sharks were worth seeing. But a bit of a struggle to get to with walkways closed.
Anyway, I would only recommend going to Seaworld when you have a voucher for reduced entry. It we had paid full price it would have been $220 for the 4 of us to get in. And I would also suggest going when it's not school holidays. :-)
I can't believe that Jackson is turning six years old! The years have just flown past. And my little boys is growing and changing right before my eyes.
He's just lost his first tooth. And with that his face is changing and getting bigger. He's getting a few gaps between some teeth as his jaw grows to compensate for the larger teeth that will be coming through in the next few years. He's getting taller too. It won't be long before he's taller than me!!
On the school front he's doing really well too. He's still doing speech therapy each week, which is helping him greatly. The speechie is running a camp program during the school holidays that Jackson is going to go to. Which should help him with his comprehension. He's reading level is 2 cronological years ahead for his age, but his comprehension level doesn't match. So this is the area we are working on at the moment.
Anyway, must dash. Here's the photo that I am using for Jackson's birthday party invites. I'm a glutton for punishment, as we're having it at home again.
Well it looks as though Chandler definitely has a Hydocele. We went up to have a ultrasound, and it was easily seen. It looks as though it's a sealed cyst, so hopefully they can just aspirate it, instead of him having to have surgery. And hopefully that will be done with a general anaesthesia. I seriously don't think I could hold him down whilst they preformed an aspiration on his testes.
Haven't gotten the report as they email the scans down to someone down south, who writes up the report. Their internet was down, so will go and pick up the report when I take Chandler in for his immunisations. Was going to do that this week, but have cancelled that now seeing that Chandler has gastro. :-( Just what I need while Jonathan is away. He's in Sydney for a course for work. Left Sunday, and comes back late Friday night. Hopefully Jackson and I don't get this bug.
So am not having a good week at the moment. I also need to take Jackson to see a podiatrist, for his running. He runs weird. He may need arch supports, as he does have flat feet. That may be contributing to his stance while running.
Still waiting for Chandler's new glasses to come in. They are taking a bit longer than usual.
