My purchases from this morning's farmer's market.  Today is extra special, sweet peas were available!  

I love that my job is close enough to home, I can choose to walk or ride my bike to work. Some mornings are so lovely,  I will walk so I can take the camera with me.  I will leave early enough to give me time to enjoy the scenery so that I can look behind the trees or across the creek.  I've seen coyote and a bobcat search for breakfast, owls and hawks circling or perched high up on a branch; it's such a thrill for me! by the time I get to work, I'm like a big kid all excited and giddy.  I can't wait to tell someone, "guess what I saw today?"
  I always walk or cycle to work in my "play clothes" so that I can go exploring without mucking up the
"business suits".  When I get to work, I head to my office, grab my clothes; take a shower and, like magic; I'm ready and raring to go with a big smile on my face!  With gas being over $4.00 in my area, my smile is even bigger.

I love where I live. I love the mountain trails all within a few miles in any direction.  Right now, everything is in bloom, especially the mountain lilac (ceanothus) and scotch broom (cytisus scoparius) the contrast of each plant; deep blue/purple and vibrant yellow makes me feel I've discovered the other side of the rainbow.  I have my favorite rock perch to sit and view the ocean and local islands. Fellow hikers pass by and nod to one another like reverent monks and smile as if we share the same secret.  I love that when I come down from the mountains, I can go directly to the ocean and walk along the boardwalk and spot the trail I was just on!  

It's Saturday brother, I have found us a classic!
